We are looking for a skilled Technical Accounting Analys t to join our client's team on a contract basis in Portland, Oregon . In this role, you will focus on a variety of technical accounting projects, including revenue recognition, goodwill assessments, and purchase price accounting. This position requires a meticulous individual with strong expertise in U.S. GAAP and a proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Responsibilities :

• Conduct comprehensive revenue recognition analyses and prepare supporting documentation for multiple subsidiaries.
• Perform goodwill impairment assessments and update purchase price accounting workbooks as needed.
• Review and analyze business contracts to identify and document accounting implications.
• Research and address complex technical accounting issues, providing well-supported recommendations to management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ad hoc technical accounting projects.
• Partner with Financial Reporting Analysts to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP external disclosures.
• Monitor and interpret emerging accounting guidance to evaluate its potential impact on the organization.
• Participate in external audits as a technical resource and ensure adherence to internal control procedures, including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
• Prepare clear and concise technical memos to document accounting research and conclusions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and an active CPA license.
• At least five years of relevant accounting experience, with a preference for public accounting experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and consolidation principles.
• Proven ability to conduct accounting research and draft detailed, clear memos.
• Excellent analytical skills, along with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• High attention to detail while maintaining a strategic perspective.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
