Job description5 - 10 years' experience developing embedded software. Strong knowledge of C and C++. Experience with embedded operating systems, such as Linux / QNX / FreeRTOS. Experience with hardware abstraction layers (HALs). Experience with audio processing and codecs. Experience with audio DSPs. Responsible for Audio and related Feature (DAB, FM, USB, CD-DVD etc). Experience with peripheral buses, such as I2C and I2S. Strong Linux / Android internals and kernel fundamentals. Experience with audio systems (ALSA, audio framework, audio drivers). Preferred if having experience with audio BSP for embedded systems that use Qualcomm chipsets and Qualcomm Audio Framework (Audio Reach / Elite).

Audio Engineer - Audio HAL for Android Automotive position at DBSI Services, Inc., Novi, MI. Compensation : $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement Audio HAL for Android Automotive.
- Develop C / C++ code to interface with radio hardware.
- Implement audio data streaming between HAL and Android framework.
- Collaborate with engineers on the Android Automotive audio stack.
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation of the HAL functionality.
- Analyze and interpret radio diagnostic data.
- Stay current with advancements in Android Automotive audio hardware.
- Contribute to documentation and maintenance of HAL code.
