DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Drug and Alcohol Treatment Specialist 1, you will play a crucial role in the care and treatment of inmates struggling with drug and alcohol dependence. You will be working closely with individuals to develop personalized treatment and recovery plans, providing one-on-one treatment sessions, professional counseling, and making necessary referrals. Additionally, you will lead group therapy sessions, facilitate community meetings, and utilize progressive disciplinary measures to address behavioral deficiencies. Other responsibilities include completing discharge summaries, classification summaries, and parole summaries in accordance with regulations, policies, and procedures.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :

• Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
• Work hours are 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Telework : You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary : Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $55,436.00 (before taxes).
