Description :

This position is for a Neuro Medicine unit.

The nurse will work with a patient ratio of 6-7.

Weekend coverage is required, with 5-6 weekend shifts per contract.

Travelers are expected to float to other units based on skill sets and census.

The unit focuses on general medicine with a specialization in neurology.

Must have the ability to manage various patient diagnoses and procedures.

Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, and rapid response teams.

The nurse must be comfortable with the following skills :

CVA interpretation, management of dysrhythmias, and isolation precautions.

Experience or willingness to learn the charge nurse role is preferred.

Candidates must demonstrate adherence to call-off policies as this will be strongly enforced.

The nurse is expected to work during catastrophic events, including mass casualties or disasters.

Candidates must meet behavioral expectations in all interactions with patients and staff.

References from previous managers or supervisors are highly preferred at the time of submission.
