Position Overview
As a Licensed Vocational Nurse Associate, you will provide essential nursing care and support to our residents. Your role will include :
- Assisting in the assessment of residents upon admission and continuously monitoring their health.
- Effectively communicating significant changes in residents' conditions to the interdisciplinary team (IDT) and documenting assessments accurately.
- Participating in and updating care plans based on residents' needs and interventions.
- Administering medications and treatments safely and timely, while ensuring adherence to nursing and physician orders.
- Maintaining professionalism in crisis situations and ensuring the delivery of care aligns with established care plans.
- Engaging in ongoing education, completing at least twelve hours of nursing-related continuing education annually.
- Contributing to a positive environment by collaborating with team members and addressing any areas for improvement.
Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited nursing school resulting in a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) designation.Current LPN license in the working state.CPR and AED certification required, or the willingness to obtain within six months of employment.IV certification required, or the willingness to obtain within six months of employment.Preferred experience in long-term care settings.Skills in assessing the basic nursing care needs of geriatric residents.Strong communication skills for interactions with residents, families, and team members.Effective time management and organizational abilities.Physical capability to stand, walk, lift, and assist with patient mobility as required.Manual dexterity and coordination for adequate patient care and equipment management.Visual acuity to distinguish colors and read documentation.Aptitude for completing documentation electronically and in writing.Join us in making a difference at Bethesda, where your skills and compassion will thrive!
Pay range : $26.96 - $43.25 per hour.
