Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Fabrication Workshop Manager / Welder Fabricator to lead welding operations in our Georgia facility. This role requires hands-on expertise in both manual and automated welding, strong leadership, and a proactive approach to process improvement. The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day workshop activities, ensure high-quality welding output, maintain equipment functionality, and lead a skilled team to meet production goals while upholding safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise all operations within the welding / fabrication workshop to meet production targets.
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot both manual and automated welding machines to ensure consistent output and quality.
- Optimize welding processes to enhance productivity, reduce downtime, and maintain product quality.
- Train and mentor welders and workshop staff on welding best practices, equipment use, and safety procedures.
- Plan and coordinate daily production schedules to align with project deadlines and capacity.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure regular preventive maintenance and quick resolution of equipment issues.
- Work closely with the quality control team to monitor welding output and address any defects or process deviations.
- Enforce strict compliance with workplace and welding safety standards.
- Maintain accurate production records, equipment logs, and welding performance data.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or engineering degree preferred.Minimum of 3–5 years of experience managing a welding or fabrication workshop.Strong hands-on knowledge of both manual and automated welding techniques.Proficiency in reading welding blueprints and using precision measurement tools.In-depth understanding of welding materials, processes, and inspection standards.Demonstrated leadership and team management skills with the ability to coach and motivate.Excellent organizational and communication skills.Mandarin language skills are a plus (for coordination with international engineering teams).Benefits
