Summary :
Seeking for a Data Architect who can design, standardize, and oversee enterprise-level data architecture for an insurance organization. This is not just a hands-on developer role-it's strategic and governance-heavy, focusing on data models, standards, and platform recommendations .
Key Responsibilities
- Architecture Ownership :
- Take full responsibility for target architectures and medallion patterns (likely a layered data architecture approach : bronze / silver / gold layers).
- Platform Standards & Recommendations :
- Define and enforce standards on data platform design, naming conventions, technologies, and frameworks .
- Data Governance & Taxonomy :
- Define subject-area taxonomy (how data domains are organized).
- Set up data contracts (rules for how data is shared / used).
- Establish RBAC patterns (Role-Based Access Control).
- Security & Observability :
- Ensure data observability, security, and retention are built into designs ("by-design" approach).
- Design Oversight :
- Approve logical & physical data models , Source-to-Target mappings , and major design decisions.
- Identity & Matching :
- Design identity resolution and matching logic (both deterministic and fuzzy matching).
- Performance & Cost Optimization :
- Optimize data pipelines for performance, storage, and cost efficiency .
- Governance Alignment :
- Make sure models align with data governance policies, lineage tracking, and compliance requirements .
- Data Provisioning & Access Strategy :
- Oversee data access strategy , profiling, and provisioning workflows.
