Employment Type : \nFull timeShift : \nDay Shift\n\nDescription : \n\nPosition Purpose : \n\nAt Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, the IV Therapy Registered Nurse RN provides patient care by specializing in administering intravenous medicine, vitamins, or fluids.\n\nWhat You Will Do : \n
- You will insert and maintain peripheral IVs, midline catheters, and other types of lines.\n
- Administration and monitoring of medications, blood products, and fluids while calculating and documenting dosages, adjustments, protocols, and patients' vitals during treatments.\n
- Collaborates with colleagues, physicians, healthcare team members, and the patient and family to ensure safe, effective, and efficient care delivery.\n\nMinimum Qualifications : \n\nRequired : \n
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate's degree in Nursing.\n
- Valid RN license in the state of Connecticut.\n\nPreferred : \n
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).\n
- Ideal candidates will have 1 year of experience with PICC lines placement / access / de-access, Midlines, Port access / de-access, and placement of Peripheral sites is required.\n
- BLS / CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) — certification support available post-hire.\n\nPosition Highlights : \n\nFull-Time – 32 hours / week - Day Shift.\n
