  • Stakeholder Recruitment and Activation : Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including business leaders, industry associations, and other organizations. Mobilize stakeholders to support the Chamber’s advocacy efforts and participate in issue campaigns.
  • Writing and Content Development : Craft compelling content, including op‑eds, press releases, and campaign materials, to effectively communicate the Chamber’s positions and initiatives. Ensure that messaging is clear, consistent, and impactful.
  • Issue Campaign Management : Lead the planning and execution of issue‑based campaigns, coordinating cross‑functional teams to achieve campaign goals. Monitor and analyze campaign performance.
  • Collaboration and Leadership : Work closely with internal teams, including communications, government affairs, and policy experts, to align public affairs efforts with organizational priorities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public affairs, political science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of proven experience in media relations, public affairs, and issue campaign management, preferably within an agency, government, or major policy‑focused organization.
  • Demonstrated success in stakeholder recruitment and activation, with a track record of building and mobilizing coalitions.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive and impactful content for diverse audiences.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strategic thinker with an understanding of public policy, business issues, and the legislative process.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
