CDM Smith is seeking a dynamic Electrical Engineer to join our team of forward-thinking experts. You'll design high-performance systems that drive infrastructure resilience, energy innovation, and technical excellence across industries. From power grids to smart facilities, your work will electrify progress. Design and develop electrical systems from foundational to highly complexincluding electric master system plans, power systems, protection and generation models, facility power infrastructure, and renewable energy solutions. Perform advanced studies and calculations for power distribution, lighting simulations and layouts, communications, fire alarm, and security systems. Develop white papers and technical documentation to support CDM Smith's Technical Knowledge Management (TKM) program. Conduct field reviews to ensure alignment between design specifications and site conditions; update designs as needed. Collaborate with sales staff to shape winning proposals and respond to client RFPs. Review proposals for compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Engage directly with current and prospective clients to understand and plan for future design needs. Represent the firm at industry conferences and events, enhancing both your visibility and ours. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to their technical growth and project success. Provide guidance and may oversee the work of junior team members to ensure quality and consistency.

Minimum Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or Electrical Technology or related discipline.
• Professional engineering (PE) license.
• 7 years of related experience.
• Domestic and / or international travel may be required.

Skills and Abilities : Working knowledge of CADD software, including 3D and 4D design tools. Expert understanding of engineering design principles and standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations relevant to electrical design.

Pay Range Minimum : $90,605

Pay Range Maximum : $158,579

Additional Compensation : All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.

Work Location Options : Hybrid Work Options may be considered for successful candidate.
