Overview / Summary :

  • One of LI's most active owner / developers is seeking maintenance support for their office portfolio in Garden City.
  • 5-6 office buildings in Garden City, all walkable to one another
  • Full-time job - 9-6, M-F, potential for 6 AM - 3 PM if preferred
  • Important to have car, hard to get there through public transportation
  • At least 10 years of experience required

Key Requirements :

  • Technical : Mechanical, light electric, plumbing, boilers, HVAC knowledge, building management systems
  • Commercial preferred, not required

    • Job Description :

    The Maintenance Mechanic will report to Vice President Commercial Property Management. The duties of the position shall include, but are not limited to, the following :

    Primary Responsibilities :

  • Perform minor electrical work including but not limited to replacing outlets, ballasts, switches, light bulbs, and working with contractors.
  • Perform minor plumbing work including but not limited to unclogging drain lines, fixture replacement, and working with contractors.
  • Perform basic HVAC repairs and maintenance, and working with contractors.
  • Perform general service duties including but not limited to cleaning and painting mechanical rooms and developing inventory tool storage.
  • Respond to tenant request for services.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of preventative maintenance program, energy management system, and property management software.

    Pay : $28.00 - $34.00 per hour
