Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of recent home health experience, BLS certification, and OASIS / HCHB proficiency for a travel Home Health position.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Home health setting with a focus on geriatric and end-of-life care patients
  • Typical patient load is 5-7 visits per day with 30 productivity points weekly
  • Patients are seen within a territory of up to a 60-mile radius from the central office
  • On-call rotation required every 3rd to 4th weekend
  • Day shift schedule : 5x8 hour shifts, 8 : 00 am to 4 : 30 pm
  • Travel pairs are accepted but each therapist is assigned their own territory
  • Mileage is reimbursed at the IRS standard rate
  • iPad provided for work; cell phones are not provided
  • Daily responsibilities include evaluating and treating geriatric patients, managing timely documentation, and participating in on-call rotation
  • Travelers are expected to wear scrubs of any color; jeans are not permitted
  • RTO must be submitted at the time of application
  • Local candidates accepted at the travel rate
  • Former permanent employees must wait at least 6 months before returning as a traveler, subject to HR approval
  • First-time travelers accepted

  • Active Physical Therapist license required if applicable
  • Minimum 1 year of recent home health PT experience required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • OASIS experience required for completing Start of Care
  • Proficiency in HCHB (Homecare Homebase) EMR required
  • Active driver’s license and reliable personal transportation required
  • Timely documentation and strong communication skills required
  • Completion of Home Health / Hospice checklist required
  • Must be flexible with assigned territory
