Medical Director Hospitalist at Johnson Memorial Health in Franklin, Indiana

IES, Integrative Emergency Services , is seeking a Hospitalist   Medical Director  to lead our established group at Johnson Memorial Health in Franklin, Indiana (just twenty miles south of Indianapolis).

Medical Director Role

• Provide on-site management of the clinical and administrative aspects for the Hospitalist service
• Review the provider schedule and ensure adequate staffing
• Actively participate in the recruitment and retention of qualified physicians and advanced practice providers
• Supervise staff, provide feedback, and assure provision of high quality care
• Manage the quality improvement plan including attending regular meetings and review of medical records
• Assure departmental compliance with Joint Commission standards
• Serve as liaison between hospital administration and clinical staff and provide regular feedback to IES leadership

Hospitalist Service :

Encounters per Day :  15-20

Admissions per Day :  4-6

Shifts Times : 7a - 7p, 7p - 7a

Day Coverage :  1 physician & 1 APP

Night Coverage :  1 APP with physician on-call

Rotation Schedule :  7-on / 7-off; flexible may be able to accommodate other schedules

Procedures :  Preferred but not required : intubations, central lines

Respond to Codes :  Yes

RRT : Yes

EMR :  Cerner

Hospital Beds :   40

ICU Beds :   6
