DCS is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the Purchasing Assistant 2 (Inventory Technician) assigned to the Distribution Center. The DCS Distribution Center plays a critical role in supporting the Department's operations ensuring employees have the necessary clothing, equipment, and supplies to perform their jobs safely and efficiently.

Job Description

Under general supervision, receives, stores and issues property and supplies. Coordinates property management and inventory control.

Position Duties & Responsibilities :

• Distributes clothing and equipment to agency employees and processes returns / exchanges.
• Effectively communicates with internal and external customers.
• Loads and unloads deliveries by manual operation, pallet jack, and / or handcart.
• Receives, inspects, and inventories clothing and equipment accurately.
• Stocks shelves in an orderly manner maintaining a neat appearance of the warehouse area.
• Monitors stock levels to ensure timely purchases.
• Performs physical inventory count as necessary.
• Ensures proper security of inventory.
• Completes and maintains required documentation.
• Operates and maintains warehouse equipment and tools in compliance with safety standards.
• Able to lift and / or move up to 50 lbs.
• May perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned and / or required.

Additional Job Requirements :

High school diploma / GED and two (2) years of job-related experience in inventory, purchasing, or supply chain management; or one (1) year of experience at the lower level Purchasing Agent 1 (FET040) or equivalent position.
