Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Post Partum Discipline : RN Start Date : 12 / 01 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel RN – Mother Baby (Float Pool) Facility : Mount Sinai West Address : 1000 10th Avenue, New York, NY 10019 Shift : Nights | 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM | Every Other Weekend Required Position Summary : The Mother Baby RN will work in the Float Pool providing comprehensive care to mothers and newborns across Labor & Delivery, Antepartum, and Postpartum units. The ideal candidate will be proficient in newborn assessment, postpartum recovery, and high-risk maternal care, ensuring safe and compassionate patient outcomes in alignment with hospital standards. Requirements : Education : Bachelor of Science in Nursing ( BSN required – non-negotiable ) Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery, Antepartum, and Postpartum settings Certifications : Active NY State RN license (unrestricted) BLS and NRP certifications required Skills : Strong proficiency in newborn assessment and postpartum care Experience administering and monitoring Magnesium Sulfate therapy Ability to float between maternal-child units as needed.
