Overview
A boutique law firm is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join its estate planning and administration practice. The role is on-site, Monday through Thursday. The attorney will provide legal counsel, handle estate planning matters, and administer probate and trust cases. This position offers a balanced schedule with no billable hour requirements, a base salary, and additional commission-based compensation for new plans originated and completed.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice in matters related to estate planning, probate, and trust administration.
- Draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related estate planning documents.
- Conduct legal research and ensure compliance with relevant state and federal laws.
- Represent clients in probate court or other legal proceedings, as needed.
- Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and external professionals to develop and implement tailored estate plans.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with clients throughout the legal process.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Active license to practice law in South Carolina.Strong understanding of wills, trusts, estates, and their administration.Excellent legal research and writing skills.Strong interpersonal and client communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.Experience in estate planning or elder law is a plus.Compensation & Benefits
