Insight Global is looking for a general dental hygienist to join their team at the Del Valle location. Specific duties include assisting dentist with oral hygiene instruction, taking, developing, and mounting X-rays, taking impressions of dentures for dental appliances, ordering and maintaining supply inventory, performing procedures to comply with infection control policies and preparing operatories for patient treatment, accurately and completely reporting and documenting status, care rendered, response to care, provider orders, contacts with patient and / or other healthcare providers, maintaining patient follow-up procedures, assisting front desk staff when needed, performing other duties as assigned, completing all direct and indirect care documentation in a timely manner and ensuring patient records are current and complete, attending daily patient care (unit) huddles and periodic informational (clinic) huddles, meetings, patient conferences, or planning sessions related to quality assurance, patient care, and other related topics within the clinic, attending seminars and maintaining all licensure and / or certification requirements for continuing education and best practices, participating in quality strategies to evaluate compliance with evidence-based guidelines, standards, and to identify opportunities to improve patient outcomes, developing and maintaining favorable internal relationships, partnerships with co-workers, including clinical managers, clinical support staff, providers, and business office staff, interacting respectfully and collaboratively with patients and their families, striving to develop favorable relationships with families, and collaborating with all members of the care team in providing patient-centered care.

Skills and requirements : Graduation from high school or equivalent, completion of an accredited course in dental assistance, Texas State Board of Dental Examiners Radiology, Jurisprudence, and Infection Control certificates, CPR certification, previous dental experience preferred.
