Enliven is seeking an experienced Regional Nurse Manager who would oversee Texas and Alabama. The ideal candidate must be well-trained and able to give the best nursing care possible with little supervision. They will educate patients and their families on prevention and healthy habits. The ideal candidate must be compassionate, cool-tempered, and capable of handling emergent situations. They must follow health and safety guidelines faithfully and consistently. The goal is to promote patients' well-being by providing high-quality nursing care.
JOB SUMMARY / DESCRIPTION :
Five years of acute care experience within an acute hospital, home health, or home infusion environment.
Two years of nursing management experience.
Enliven administration / ownership can make exceptions to the work experience requirements depending on the individual’s qualifications, experience, panel interview results, and the necessity to fill this position.
Will obtain and maintain, as needed, a registered nurse license in other states needing administrative and nursing / staffing support.
Must pass Enliven panel interview, background check, drug screen, and other mandatory requirements. Please see Enliven Policies and Procedures.
Must have completed training / education from an accredited school of nursing.
Assist in developing job descriptions for new positions created for Enliven Specialty Nursing’s Texas office.
Will oversee, train, and retain nurses in Texas and Alabama.
Will be responsible for developing a plan of action and follow-up for nurses who may need disciplinary action.
Will evaluate the performance of the nursing staff.
Will assist in the planning and budgeting for the provision of nursing services.
Will monitor the daily and weekly work hours of all full-time, part-time, and per diem staff to avoid overtime.
Will delegate differing daily tasks, as needed, to all full-time, part-time, and per diem staff.
Will develop expected daily tasks, assignments, work expectations, and workflows for all full-time, part-time, and per diem staff.
When needed and available, will travel to states that need administrative and nursing / staffing support to train new nurses, care / infuse patients, and assist in staffing needs.
Shall participate in the development and enforcement of new policies, including policies relating to the care of patients.
Responsible for the delivery of in-home, infusion patient care that promotes the safety and well-being of all patients.
Maintain an orientation program for new nurses to ensure that needed training is completed and nurses are confident and competent in providing appropriate care while caring for patients and administering the treatments ordered by the patient’s physician.
Train staff and patients on all procedures and equipment
Provide new and current nurses (full-time, part-time, per diem, and contracted) with resources and classes related to infusion therapy.
Be involved in scheduled on-site visits with nurses to ensure appropriate nursing care is provided and policies and procedures are followed accordingly.
Assist in creating, reviewing, tracking, and collecting a Plan of Treatment (POT) for each individual patient.
Conduct and collect patient surveys.
When assigned and needed, visits patients and document the client’s compliance, progress, and all necessary information.
Provides direct patient care as ordered by a medical provider and allowed by state law
Coordinates patient care with other home care agencies and specialty pharmacies as necessary
Provide guidance and direction to Enliven staff regarding infusion nursing.
Maintain management tools and schedules in support of patient care delivery.
Communicates daily and as needed with contracted pharmacy team members and Enliven’s Intake and Scheduling Team regarding care coordination and other home care services for each patient.
Assist the intake and scheduling team by infusing patients who do not have an assigned nurse to initiate a start of care (SOC) and temporarily infusing patients whose nurse has called in sick, is on vacation, or is not available.
Investigate and follow up on all reported situational occurrences involving each assigned patient.
Participate in committee meetings to help resolve issues or to create and / or amend policies and procedures.
Will attend management meetings to update attendees on current projects and duties.
Will attend scheduled virtual and in-person staff meetings
Act as a consistent liaison among patients, their families, caregivers, and providers to optimize patient outcomes.
Investigate and follow up on all reported issues involving infusion nursing.
Demonstrate familiarity with clinical treatment guidelines and resources throughout the disease process.
Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
Assist in mentoring to motivate, develop, recruit, and retain nurse leaders within Enliven.
Will be involved in scheduled on-site visits with nurses to ensure that appropriate nursing care is provided and that policies and procedures are followed accordingly.
Achieve certifications (IgCN, CRNI) from the Immunoglobulin National Society (IgNS) and / or Infusion Nurses Society (INS). Must be obtained within two years of hire date.
Advanced knowledge of infusion practices such as Immune Globulin therapy, auto-immune therapy, and other specialty therapies, as well as adjunct therapies, vascular access devices, and infusion pumps used by the company.
Manage and update Nurse (full-time, part-time, per diem, and contracted) licenses and certifications.
Review and approve employees' time and attendance.
Assist in the acceptance and coordination / scheduling of new and existing patients within Texas and Alabama.
Assist (as needed and when available) in the acceptance and coordination / scheduling of new and existing patients in other states needing administrative and / or nursing support.
Assist in the daily quality assurance (QA- chart review) of charts submitted by nurses.
Will conduct or participate in individual or panel interviews with Enliven Administrators and potential full-time, part-time, per diem, or contract nurses.
Will participate in a rotating on-call shift schedule (Saturday and Sunday, 24 hrs / day) at $100 / day to answer phone calls from Enliven nurses, specialty pharmacies, patients, and medical providers (clinical-related issues). If needed, appropriate, and within reason, will provide nursing care for patients or assist nurses in the field located in and around the Texas office area. Ray Landingin, RN (CEO and co-owner of Enliven), will determine the on-call schedule. Non-clinical questions / issues will be handled by the scheduled on-call Intake and Scheduling representative.
Will participate with Enliven Ownership in the decision-making process for disciplinary actions of nurses.
Will assist the Enliven Administration in starting patients in new towns / cities throughout Texas and Alabama.
With the assistance of Enliven ownership, will maintain a current Home Health License for the state of Texas.
With the assistance of Enliven Ownership, will maintain a current certification with an accreditation organization approved by the state of Texas.

Will address urgent operational or clinical issues that arise during after-hours.
Respond promptly to calls and electronic notifications regarding staffing, patient care concerns, or emergencies during after-hours.
Must be able to travel (when needed and available) to all areas of Texas and Alabama in order to provide nursing and staffing support, to help train new nurses, and to care for and infuse patients. Enliven will pay the costs of travel. This will include (if needed), airfare, hotel fees, car rental. Additional incentives will be provided on a case-by-case basis.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Must have completed training and education from an accredited school of nursing.
Must maintain a current Texas Registered Nurse License or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
Must maintain current Registered Nurse Licenses (if needed) in non-compact RN license states.
Must maintain a current Certification in Basic Life Support
Proficient in English, Reading, and Math
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is desired
CRNI / IgCN (certifications must be obtained within two years of hire date)
