This position gives proper direction to the plant to ensure customer commitments are fulfilled and is responsible for manufacturing operations. This leader is a change agent through short and long-term goals.
Responsibilities
Implement strategic programs that improve labor efficiency, on-time delivery, continuous quality improvement and a safe workplace.Generate monthly reports to effectively communicate program contributions, lead-times, on-time delivery, continuous improvement efforts, and manufacturing needsDrives a corporate culture that focuses on facts, tangible results and behaviorsCommunicates job goals and expectations; plan, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and proceduresProduces products by maintaining or improving good manufacturing practices and enforcing quality standardsInterfaces closely with Plant GM and Supply Chain Manager on key metricsProvides leadership needed to ensure the product quality meets specifications for all products shipped from the plantEnsures efficient utilization of plant staffing and equipment to meet productivity and cost effectiveness goals from stated AOPAssists with developing and leading a trained and motivated workforceDevelop and implement with Plant GM an annual operating plan including capital improvementsBehaves consistently with desired leadership values and characteristicsCommunicates and facilitates meetings effectivelyIdentifies and resolves issues skillfully and in a timely mannerKnowledge / Skills / Abilities :
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbaAbility to create and drive changeDemonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teamsMust be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and on a teamExcellent organizational skills, leadership qualities, computer literacyAbility to supervise is essential for success in this positionCompetent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPointWorks with integrity and respect displaying a high degree of tact and diplomacyMust be familiar with various measuring devices and analyzing informationGood understanding of TPM, HR and Financial acumen is highly desiredQualifications
Bachelor's Degree preferably in Mechanical Engineering or OperationsMinimum of 5-7 years' experience of related experience in Manufacturing Management preferredExperience, knowledge or trained in Six SigmaTPM experience preferred#LI-DB1 #LI-ONSITE
