Construction Division Manager - P.E.

About the Role :
W3Global Client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Construction Division Manager (P.E.) to lead and oversee transportation and infrastructure projects across Utah.
This leadership role is ideal for a strategic thinker with proven expertise in managing teams, budgets, schedules, and quality standards for complex civil and transportation projects. The successful candidate will bring strong experience with UDOT standards, specifications, and project delivery methods and play a key role in growing and expanding the construction management team throughout the state.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead, mentor, and manage a division of project managers, engineers, and field staff.
Ensure all projects meet UDOT specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards .
Develop and manage division budgets, schedules, and staffing plans .
Implement digital tools / software to improve workflows, analyze project data, and drive innovation.
Establish best practices for project management, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Coordinate with clients, contractors, engineers, and government agencies (especially UDOT) .
Build strong relationships, lead proposal / contract processes, and represent the division in professional settings.
Track division performance metrics and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and profitability.
Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and engineering regulations.
Support recruiting efforts and expansion of the construction management team statewide.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (Master's preferred).
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Utah, or ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months.
10+ years in heavy civil / transportation construction, including 5+ years in leadership .
Strong experience with UDOT projects, procedures, and contract administration .
Deep knowledge of construction project management, scheduling, and cost controls.
Proven leadership, communication, and negotiation skills .
Ability to travel to project sites across Utah as required.
Physical Requirements :
Extended periods working at a computer.
Ability to lift / carry up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Work on active construction sites (uneven terrain, weather exposure, varying noise levels).
Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, or crouching.
