Position Purpose :

Work under the direction of the Physician and RN to provide care to patients in compliance with hospital standards and regulations. Responsible for providing direct patient care services and procedures. In addition to providing the same duties as a CNA / LNA, they will also draw blood, administer IVs, perform EKG readings and monitor vital signs and prepare treatment rooms for examination. Assess patient needs, and implement interventions based on assessment data. Strive to provide excellent patient care with compassion, discretion, cheerfulness, accuracy, patience, flexibility in scheduling, calmness in emergent situations, the ability to work well with team members, receiving and applying feedback from peers and supervisors

Certification : BLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Licensure : Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA); Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : Position uses problem solving skills and ability to effectively communication with patients, patients families, interdisciplinary and ancillary departments within the organization.
