Job description7+ years of experience in power systems engineering. Hands-on coding experience in C++, Java, C, or Fortran . Familiarity with EMS platforms and industry standards like NEC, NESC, NFPA, IEEE, or IEC. Bonus if you know PowerShell, Python, or SQL for scripting. It’s mostly remote , with occasional on-site work. Pay is $70–$85 / hr , depending on experience and client feedback.

What You’d Be Doing :
- You’d work on analyzing the power grid—making sure electricity flows properly and systems aren’t overloaded.
- You’d handle things like load flow studies, short circuit analysis , and work with equipment like transformers, switchgear, and UPS systems .
- You’d help build and maintain SCADA models and develop EMS applications (like Siemens Spectrum Power).
- You’d also monitor the grid in real time and help automate systems using programming languages like C++, Java, or Fortran .
