Job Title : Travel Med / Surg Registered Nurse (RN)

Location : Gadsden, Alabama (35903) – Alabama nursing jobs

Assignment Type : Travel Nurse Assignment

Healthcare Setting : Medical-Surgical Unit

Start Date : November 17, 2025

End Date : February 16, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Night Shift (6 : 45 PM – 7 : 15 AM), every other weekend required

Hours per Week : 36

Patient Ratio : 6 : 1

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Compact RN license or Alabama Registered Nurse license

BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)

Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg RN experience

Experience with Cerner EMR preferred

Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality patient care in the Medical-Surgical unit

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress

Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans

Educate patients and families on health management, discharge instructions, and post-hospital care

Float to other hospital units as needed to support clinical operations
