Shipping / Receiving Clerk

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented warehouse shipping and receiving clerk. The role involves managing the shipping and receiving of military products, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all processes.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP Systems effectively.
• Perform accurate visual checks on products before shipping.
• Document and report any discrepancies or damages.
• Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to customer and carrier requirements.
• Generate shipping labels and documentation using internal systems.
• Coordinate with carriers for pickups and deliveries.
• Maintain a clean and organized shipping / receiving area.
• Assist with inventory counts and cycle audits.

Work Environment

The position is based in a non-climate controlled facility, working alongside various warehouse workers in a large space. The shift is from 8am to 4 : 30pm, with flexibility to start an hour earlier or later during busy seasons. A dress code of closed-toe shoes is required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
