Under general supervision, develops clinical expertise and offers educational programs directed at expanding and enhancing nursing staff knowledge and clinical practice. Collaborates with clinical managers, clinical specialists, and clinical leadership to plan, implement, and evaluate programs to meet identified needs of the organization. Serves as organizational resource to ensure evidenced-based practice, and facilitate optimal patient outcomes within GBMC healthcare system.
Education :
Master's degree preferred, BSN with a commitment to attain a master's degree in 5 years.
Licensures / Certifications :
- Must possess current Maryland State license as a Registered Nurse.
- Certification as CPR instructor by American Heart Association preferred
- Completion of "Healthcare Provider" CPR course on hire and every (2) years
- Obtain certification as a professional development specialist within 4 years of hire
Experience :
At least five (5) years experience in Nursing with two (2) years concurrent experience applying educational concepts, including program planning and evaluation.
