FOOD PRODUCTION MANAGER (COMMISSARY) LONGVIEW, TX
Overview : Food Production Manager (Commissary) in Longview, TX at Compass Group USA. This role focuses on planning, directing, and coordinating production activities in a manufacturing food plant.
Responsibilities
- Meet production goals
- Participate in food quality meetings
- Write daily and weekly production schedules
- Lead, train, and develop staff
- Collaborate with Kitchen, Pack Out, and Quality Assurance Managers
- Verify food safety records are completed
- Monitor proper portioning and adherence to standardized recipes
- Investigate any overages or shortages
- Monitor labeling of all items for accurate information
- Schedule maintenance on all equipment
- Manage all financials including planning, budget development, analysis, and financial reporting
- Verify and submit payroll
- Interact professionally with a diverse group of associates, peers, managers, suppliers, clients and customers
- Implement all federal, state, and local regulations

USDA / FDA / SQF (Safe Quality Foods), HACCP or Fresh Prepared foods preferredStrong Excel & computer skillsAbility to spend 80%-90% on the production floorAbility to adapt to changesStrong organizational skillsExcellent knowledge of food with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, portion controls, and presentation a plusFour plus years of food manufacturing experience preferredPhysical requirements
