Job Description

Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for timely response to service calls, T&M, and contract commercial jobs.
  • Work directly with field foremen and superintendents to create daily work schedules for all employees in the western divisions.
  • Ensure the application of safe work practices on the job site in compliance with the company's safety rules and promote safety awareness.
  • Develop employees by leading, training, motivating, coaching, and counseling to meet job expectations.
  • Manage cost control through effective use of personnel, equipment, and materials to ensure customer satisfaction, job quality, and reliability.
  • Train and enforce the company's safety rules and policies, local work procedures, environmental procedures, and adhere to the energy control process at all times.
  • Coordinate and schedule equipment outages and switching to maintain safety through constant communication with the VP of the company.
  • Complete administrative tasks such as annual reviews, enforcement of the labor agreement, time & labor documentation, tailboard documentation, progress reports, and time cards.
  • Collaborate with estimators and the VP to complete pre-job planning, monitor progress, resolve issues, and obtain necessary revisions and approvals.
  • Travel is required for this position.

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in electrical or mechanical commercial operations and maintenance.
  • Expertise / knowledge of energized and de-energized facilities, switching and tagging procedures, training, clearances, and working space requirements.
  • Valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
  • Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience as a journeyman in the electrical trade.
  • Knowledge of basic electric theory, troubleshooting electrical circuits, print reading, and moderate computer skills for trade and office applications.
  • Thorough understanding of safety rules / regulations, energy control processes, company policies, work practices, and the labor agreement.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory / management experience with leadership, teamwork, and strong communication skills, both oral and written.
