Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellow (CF) opportunity is available in a K-12 school setting serving PreK through 2nd grade students in Ruidoso, NM. This contract role spans the full school year and focuses on supporting a high-need, low incidence population, including students with non-verbal communication, intellectual disabilities, and those utilizing AAC devices.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Providing evaluation, diagnosis, and therapy for speech, language, and communication disorders
  • Managing an itinerant caseload primarily involving PreK to 2nd-grade students with diverse needs, including three transitional students on the autism spectrum who may require augmentative communication support
  • Collaborating with virtual SLP providers to deliver integrated, in-person support alongside teletherapy services
  • Designing individualized treatment plans and documenting progress
  • Supporting students with complex communication needs and developmental challenges
  • Participating in team meetings and collaborating with educators and families to enhance student outcomes

Qualifications and experience desired :

  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA or eligibility for a Clinical Fellowship
  • Licensure as an SLP in New Mexico and PED certification
  • Experience working in pediatric settings, preferably within schools or healthcare environments
  • Proficiency with AAC devices and strategies for non-verbal and low incidence populations
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload across multiple sites as an itinerant therapist
