Job description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Mother-Baby / Post Partum position requiring at least 2 years of postpartum experience and active OH or compact RN licensure.

Job Details

Work in a Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum unit,
Hospital setting with mothers and newborns as primary patient population,
Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week with every other weekend required,
May float to units of similar acuity as needed,
Uses Epic EMR; experience required,

Job Requirements

Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration,

Minimum 2 years of postpartum nursing experience,

BLS certification required,

IV certification and strong IV start skills required,

Labor and Delivery (L&D) experience required,

Experience with Epic EMR required,

Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program,

At least 2 professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor,

Additional Information

Responsibilities include caring for postpartum mothers and their infants, performing IV starts, and supporting L&D overflow as needed,

Orientation to similar acuity units provided if floating is needed,

Fingerprinting process for Ohio is required immediately upon offer and instructions will be provided,

First time travelers are welcome, though previous travel nursing experience is preferred,

Holiday and weekend coverage required per unit scheduling,

Time off must be requested at time of consideration and will be built into the contract,

Local candidates are accepted at the same rate,

Former employees must have a 6-month break from prior employment with the facility to be eligible,
