Our client, a pioneering behavioral health management organization affiliated with a prominent academic medical center, is hiring a Psychologist for their Workforce Development Program.

The Psychologist will play a vital role in evaluating the employability and functional capacity of welfare recipients with medical and psychiatric conditions. This position involves reviewing medical documentation for compliance with NYC HRA contractual requirements and conducting assessments to determine clients’ ability to work or engage in employment programs. The role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a federally funded initiative designed to promote workforce integration and improve lives within the community.

The position features a hybrid work environment, with flexible hours within 8AM- 6PM schedule, and a supportive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Review medical documents to ensure compliance with NYC HRA contractual standards.
• Conduct clinical assessments, including Functional Capacity Outcome (FCO) evaluations.
• Perform psychological assessments when clients dispute FCO determinations or when assessments are inconclusive, especially when mental health barriers to employment are identified.
• Support UBA WeCARE staff by providing clinical expertise to meet funder goals.
• Assist clients in accessing services that facilitate appointment compliance and reduce barriers to employment.
• Maintain accurate documentation of outreach, assessments, and services using systems like SEAMS and EPIC.
