ResponsibilitiesHeritage Oaks Hospital is part of the UHS Family of Providers which has been highly regarded as an integral part of the greater Sacramento and Northern California mental health system since 8. Conveniently located in northern Sacramento, Heritage Oaks is a fully accredited, -bed acute psychiatric hospital offering a full range of individually tailored treatment services to adolescents, adults, and senior adults, including treatment for substance abuse and chemical dependency issues with drugs and alcohol. Heritage Oaks is a Medicare provider in addition to contracts with most commercial health insurance plans. We are committed to providing service excellence to all and ensuring our patients receive the optimal level of care that will be most beneficial to their health and recovery.

The Mental Health Technician functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients ranging in age from adolescent through geriatrics. Mental Health Technicians work under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
Schedule: 3pm - :pm | Weekend Availability
Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Experience: Two (2) years of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness preferred.
Licensure: Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
Additional Requirements: Incumbent must maintain a current, valid certificate in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Successful completion of Handle with Care (HWC) training (provided in-house) including de-escalation and appropriate use of seclusion and restraint, within the first days of employment and required prior to assisting in the procedures. Incumbent may be required to work overtime and flexible hours. Must score at least a C on ACE assessment.
