Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to provide critical support within a dynamic K-12 school environment serving students from kindergarten through 4th grade. The role is based in Irmo, South Carolina, with a contract duration spanning the full school year.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive student assessments to identify communication needs.
- Develop individualized goals aligned with students educational requirements.
- Participate actively in IEP meetings to collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers.
- Deliver direct therapy services addressing a range of needs including articulation, language, and support for students with moderate to significant special education requirements.
- Manage caseloads across multiple schools, providing itinerant services within the district.
Qualifications and Experience :
Hold a valid South Carolina license and Educator Certification as required by the state.Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred for SLP candidates.Demonstrated experience working with pediatric populations in school or healthcare settings.Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations, including general education and special education students.Strong communication and organizational skills to manage caseloads and documentation requirements.Work Details :
Location : Irmo, SC.Hours : 37.5 hours per week.Caseload involves working within several schools, servicing students from age 4 to 4th grade.Travel time between schools is compensated; mileage reimbursement may apply.This role is ideal for professionals dedicated to enhancing students communication skills in educational settings by providing targeted, evidence-based therapy services.
