Responsibilities
The Assistant Director oversees daily operations of the Electrical and Carpentry Shops managing construction remodeling and repair projects campus-wide. Responsibilities include coordinating workforce activities liaising with contractors monitoring budgets and ensuring compliance with University policies and procedural standards.
- Performs administrative oversight and management of the day-to-day operations of the Electrical Shop and the Carpentry Shop.
- Administers supervision and oversight of a work force of approximately 25 bargaining unit staff and may include student assistants.
- Coordinates and directs the work of others from various shops on construction / repair projects.
- Assures project timeline schedules and completion dates.
- Meets routinely with Facilities Planning Design & Construction contractors and others to ensure projects meet schedule budget and campus standards.

- Equivalent to five years of progressively responsible professional / administrative experience; with two of the five years in a managerial role preferred.

Salary is commensurate with knowledge skills and experience. The University offers excellent fringe benefits.The anticipated HIRING RANGE : $110000 - $122100 per year dependent upon qualifications and experience.General Information
