Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Rad Tech with 2+ years of experience, ARRT (R) certification, and current BLS for a night shift assignment in an acute care setting.
Responsibilities
Position is based in an acute care Radiology department specializing in general X-ray proceduresCovers X-ray in OR, ER, inpatient, and outpatient areas, primarily serving adults with some ER pediatric patientsDepartment is equipped with one X-ray room, one Fluoro suite, and portable machines, featuring Toshiba Fluoro / X-ray and GE X-ray equipmentMust be experienced in running a C-ARM for OR cases, including general ortho, cystos, and ERCPsShift schedule is every other Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM (12-hour night shifts)Occasional call required with a 45-minute response time, rotating one week every six weeks among three technologistsCharting is done using Epic EMRDuties include performing general X-ray, Fluoro, and intra-operative imaging procedures, especially for OR and trauma casesDepartment provides a thorough orientation program of 1-2 weeks and equipment-specific training based on skill levelDress code requires black pants with any solid colored scrub topSome holiday coverage may be requiredReturning employees must not have worked at any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility as staff in the past yearFirst-time travelers will be considered for this positionRequirements
Minimum of 2 years recent X-ray technologist experience requiredActive ARRT (R) certification is requiredCurrent BLS certification is requiredMust have proven ability to operate C-ARM equipment for OR proceduresExperience with Epic EMR preferredLicense required if applicableActive state licensure must be in hand at the time of consideration; pending licenses not acceptedMust submit a copy of driver's license for considerationTwo references required : one supervisor from the past 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the past 3 yearsBenefits
