Performs skilled maintenance work in the care of special Parks facilities. Is responsible for the performance of a variety of tasks in the maintenance and repair of parks buildings facilities and equipment which requires general knowledge of maintenance functions skill in the use of hand power tools and the ability to operate medium and heavy equipment such as water trucks tractors dump trucks tree spades and / or front-end loaders. Work is performed outdoors and the employee is exposed to weather conditions insects and various chemicals. Work is performed with limited supervision and is reviewed while in progress and upon completion.

Minimum Qualifications :

High School Diploma / G.E.D. Certificate and two (2) years experience in grounds or general building maintenance required ; or an equivalent combination of education training and experience. Valid Florida Drivers License required .

If this posting indicates a degree is required the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows :

• Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
• Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelors degree;
• Six (6) years of direct experience for a masters degree; or
• Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
