We are seeking a highly motivated Chief of Staff for our Finance department to coordinate programs, operations, and day-to-day activities. This role would be responsible for managing complex projects, conducting data analysis, preparing memos and presentations, and providing overall operational support to the CFO. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate tasks proactively.
This role is based at our headquarters in McLean, Virginia. Appian was built on a culture of in-person collaboration, which we believe is a key driver of our mission to be the best. Responsibilities :
Assist the CFO in prioritizing and managing initiatives across the finance org as well as cross functionally.
Facilitate decision making by conducting analysis, preparing memos and presentations for stakeholders; act
Drive the operating rhythm of the finance org by coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, and following up on action items.
Act as confidante, sounding board and advisor to offer informed perspective and guidance
Contributes to a sense of teamwork and loyalty within the broader team to inspire and motivate others
Qualifications :
4+ years of professional experience with a foundation in investment banking or management consulting preferred
2+ years of experience in a fast-paced corporate environment, preferably in Finance
MBA preferred, Bachelors Degree required
Strong analytical thinker who is adept at complex analysis
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate in a clear and effective manner at an executive level in presentations and written memos
Highly organized with strong attention to details
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently. Proactive and resourceful with a strong work ethic
