Tissue Recovery Coordinator - Cincinnati (1p-1a)

As a Tissue Recovery Coordinator (TRC), you will play an integral role in facilitating the recovery, preservation, and transportation of donated tissues in accordance with industry standards. You will ensure that all procedures are performed with the utmost care, professionalism, and attention to detail, reflecting NFH's mission, vision, and values. This position may also involve non-technical duties such as maintaining supplies and facilities.

Key Responsibilities :

Tissue Recovery & Preparation

• Identify and prepare donors for tissue recovery, including postmortem preparation and operating room sanitation.
• Organize and prepare operating rooms or recovery suites for tissue recovery.
• Manage logistics for transporting donors.
• Perform aseptic recovery of tissues while maintaining sterility in line with NFH policies and procedures.
• Collect blood, tissue samples, and cultures using surgical / medical instruments per protocols.
• Ensure proper post-recovery decontamination of the room, instruments, and equipment, including instrument trays for sterilization.
• Record received supplies and maintain the supply room to ensure it is fully stocked.

Qualifications :

Education : High School Diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education or training in a medical or related field preferred.

Experience : Previous healthcare, pathology, or funeral home experience preferred.

Licensure / Certification : None required.
