Description :

This position is for a nurse specializing in patient care in a telemetry unit.

The unit is dedicated to intermediate care, specifically for stroke patients.

The average daily census is around 35 patients.

Patient ratios are 1 nurse to 4 patients.

Patients typically present with conditions such as stroke, heart failure, transient ischemic attack, sepsis, syncope, acute kidney injury, and chest pain.

Nurses are expected to detect and escalate neurological changes.

Management of various hemodynamic drips is required, including titration of Cardizem, Heparin, Insulin, Neo, Nitro, and Amiodarone.

Telemetry knowledge is essential for understanding and analyzing heart rhythms.

Operations are supported by continuous monitoring technology.

The unit collaborates with a team that includes certified nursing assistants, charge nurses, and respiratory therapists available 24 / 7.

The schedule includes weekend rotations and holiday work expectations.

This role requires effective communication, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to high-quality patient care.
