  • Support Columbia Global’s social media strategy, managing accounts, growing audiences, and driving engagement.
  • Design branded and digital assets using software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and other tools.
  • Create and optimize content using SEO best practices and keyword research.
  • Produce multimedia content (graphics, infographics, video, photography) for events, campaigns, and online distribution.
  • Collaborate with Columbia University’s central communications team to share content across university and external channels.
  • Develop digital partnerships and co-branded content opportunities to amplify Columbia Global’s reach.
  • Support the development and promotion of online platforms that will serve as spaces for increased engagement, innovative thinking, and strategic planning.
  • Support Columbia Global Centers in managing their social media accounts.
  • Support the dissemination and promotion of internal and external activities and events.
  • Provide input into marketing and campaign strategies and plans, ensuring alignment with digital best practices.
  • Analyze performance metrics and prepare bi-annual reports with recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay current with digital media trends and incorporate innovative approaches into content strategies.
  • Maintain Columbia Global’s photo and video database, coordinate with external photographers and videographers.
  • Leverage Columbia University’s resources to develop high impact digital content.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong background in graphic design.
  • Experience with video and photography production, editing and archiving.
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing online marketing campaigns.
  • Advanced knowledge of email distribution and analytics platforms (e.g., MailChimp).
