Description : Position Overview :
This position will handle all audit premium reviews, disputes, revisions, additional premium installment agreements working with carriers / agents / insureds, for all territory / regions for J&J’s commercial lines department(s). The goal will be collaborating with all J&J team members to achieve growth, profit, renewal retention, maintain service standards and continuously develop and maintain producer / client goals for the J&J and its carriers / agents.
Job Responsibilities :
- Analyzing, interpreting, and affording solutions to the carrier, the agent and the insured in a timely and consistent manner as to efficiently collect earned premium developed from additional premium audits.
- Navigating, understanding, offering additional premium payment solutions to retail agents and their insureds, and implementing consistent processes with set service standards that comply with our carrier(s) internal SOPs for voluntary collection, reporting, revisions, and direct collection back to carriers in their stated time schedules. This process will include documenting final audit results to underwrite as to reflect the proper risk exposure and premium billing to the carrier and agent / insured.
- Must possess a strong background in underwriting, customer service skills, negotiation skills and premium dispute resolution.
- Must monitor receipt of payments of agreed payment schedules keeping the carrier, the agent and the insured informed on a timely basis as well as communicating with J&J accounting on specific needs outside our set SOP and development moving forward on improved efficiencies.
- Develop and maintain on-going relationships with agents while keeping the J&J underwriting team member(s) up to date with changes, revisions and implemented improvements so that the audit process is consistently explained to our retail agents.
- Train, coach and serve as technical resource to other commercial lines underwriters and additional audit team members as the department grows.
- Demonstrate accountability for the assigned role by being innovative and identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement in results.
- Contributes to organization effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing directives.
- Maintain intradepartmental workflow by fostering a spirit of cooperation amongst all departments involved with audit premium collection including underwriting, accounting, and program development.
- Maintain professional underwriting & technical knowledge by attending and completing educational workshops and continuing education.
- Assist with creating and implementing standard operating procedures for all departments in the commercial lines division of J&J.

Education and Work Experience :
5 years of experience and an RMI degree, or CPCU, or RPLU, or CIW or CIC, or a graduate degree.or 7 years of experience in P&C underwriting or related financial background field.Knowledge Skills & Abilities :
