American Traveler is seeking an experienced Chemo Certified Oncology RN for a mixed acuity PCU and Med / Surg unit with night shift and flexible scheduling requirements.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a hospital setting on a mixed acuity progressive care and Med / Surg oncology unitCare primarily for adult oncology and bone marrow transplant patients with diagnoses such as leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and related disordersPatient care includes autologous, syngeneic, and allogeneic transplants, as well as CAR-T therapyNight shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7 : 00 pm - 7 : 30 am), with no set schedule and potential for weekend work as determined by the facilityMust be highly flexible with scheduling, as the facility assigns shifts and weekends as neededMedical-surgical and telemetry skills required, including telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretationDaily responsibilities include caring for complex oncology and transplant patients and administering chemotherapyExpected to manage all aspects of transplant care, including coordination for various types of stem cell transplantsCollaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team in a fast-paced, high-acuity environmentFirst-time travelers will be consideredLocal candidates are accepted at the same rateMaximum of 1-2 days of requested time off must be included with initial contract request; additional RTO not permittedMust have been separated from prior employment at the facility for at least 6 months to be eligibleCurrent employees of any Ohio State University hospital are not eligible\n \n Requirements\n
Active OH or compact RN license in hand at the time of considerationMinimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg and oncology experienceBasic Life Support (BLS) and ONS Chemotherapy Certification requiredGraduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing programOncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification is requiredProficiency in central and peripheral line care, blood product administration, feeding tube care, and use of rapid response teamsAbility to provide two professional references, with at least one from a supervisor or formal leaderMust be able and willing to complete required Ohio fingerprinting promptly upon contract signing\n Benefits\n
