AI Specialist III

Key Responsibilities

• Refine, enhance, and expand an existing agentic LLM framework to improve quality, speed, and user experience.
• Train, tune, and optimize models to elevate accuracy, reliability, and performance in production environments.
• Improve interface, workflow, and user interaction patterns to support adoption and seamless usability.
• Work closely with business users, engineering teams, and product stakeholders to understand friction points and deliver improved user experiences.
• Design and sustain advanced AI applications using LLMs, agentic frameworks, and generative AI tools.
• Conduct hands-on R&D on emerging technologies including next-gen LLMs, agentic systems, blockchain, and quantum concepts.
• Ensure all development follows Duke Energy's established AI governance and policy standards.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to junior engineers and partner teams.
• Support deployment processes, integration steps, and continuous improvement cycles.
