Associate Content Creator Job at Bakery Agency in Austin

We’re looking for an Associate Content Creator to join our team and help fuel the day-to-day storytelling for some of the most ambitious brands out there. This is a hands-on, entry-level role where you’ll be experimenting, learning, and creating content that makes people stop scrolling.

You’ll work alongside senior creatives to brainstorm ideas, capture raw footage, edit short videos, draft captions, and keep a pulse on culture. One day you might be filming behind-the-scenes at a shoot, the next you could be making TikToks in the office, pulling references for a campaign, or testing out a trending sound.

This is a role for someone who lives and breathes internet culture, is eager to try new tools, and isn’t afraid to move fast. We don’t expect you to know everything on day one, but we do require you to be curious, collaborative, and ready to grow.

Primary Responsibilities

• Create original content for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging platforms : filming, editing, writing, and publishing with guidance from senior creatives.
• Contribute trend-based and platform-native ideas in brainstorms, helping shape work that feels alive in culture.
• Take ownership of smaller assignments (like social posts, edits, or BTS coverage) and see them through from start to finish.
• Experiment with new formats, tools, and techniques to help push our work forward.
• Support larger campaigns by pulling references, prepping assets, and assisting at shoots.
• Monitor cultural shifts and social trends, surfacing smart opportunities for brands to engage.
• Collaborate across Creative, Strategy, and Account teams to bring fresh thinking to client work.
• 2–3 years of content creation experience (internships, freelance, or personal projects count).
• Familiarity with editing apps like Adobe Premiere, CapCut, or similar.
• Comfort filming with DSLRs or smart phones, plus a good sense of framing and storytelling.
• Curiosity about social media trends and how brands show up in culture.
• Solid writing chops—you know how to write a caption that feels human and engaging.
• Eagerness to take on responsibility and learn from feedback.
• A portfolio, TikTok, or personal channel that shows off your creative point of view.
• Must submit a portfolio showcasing strong content creation across platforms, ideally work that has generated cultural buzz, and strong engagement.
