UTHSC, in partnership with  Le Bonheur Childrens Hospital , seeks a dedicated  Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (PNP-AC)  to deliver exceptional clinical care while mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals. This unique role blends hands-on patient care (95%) with academic engagement (5%), offering a dynamic career opportunity for passionate clinicians invested in both practice and education.

Key Responsibilities :

Clinical Excellence (95%) :

Provide advanced acute care to pediatric patients at  Le Bonheur Childrens Hospital , a nationally ranked pediatric facility.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to diagnose, treat, and manage complex pediatric conditions.

Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans in fast-paced inpatient and / or critical care settings.

Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and quality standards.

Academic Leadership (5%) :

Mentor UTHSC nursing students through clinical rotations, case reviews, and skills development.

Participate in curriculum design, simulation training, or lectures as needed.

Foster a supportive learning environment aligned with UTHSCs academic mission.

Qualifications : Required :

Masters or Doctorate in Nursing (Pediatric Acute Care specialization).

Current certification as a  Pediatric Acute Care NP (PNP-AC) .

Active TN APRN license (or eligibility) and DEA registration.

Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in pediatric acute / critical care.

Preferred :

Prior precepting, teaching, or academic experience.

Strong communication skills and passion for mentorship.
