About The Position

Job Title : Sterile Processing Technician

Position Urgency : Rapid Response / Crisis Assignment

Position Overview :

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician for a Rapid Response Crisis assignment. The ideal candidate will ensure the effective decontamination, inspection, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control standards.

Job Details :

Hours : 40 hours per week (guaranteed except during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year weeks)

Shift : Monday – Friday; includes shared call rotation

Contract Type : Rapid Response Crisis Contract

Responsibilities :

Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.

Assemble and inspect instrument trays for surgical procedures.

Maintain accurate inventory of sterile supplies and equipment.

Follow established infection control and sterilization protocols.

Operate autoclaves and other sterilization equipment.

Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure timely availability of instruments.

Job Requirements

Requirements :

Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CRCST or equivalent).

Current TB clearance required.

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in sterile processing preferred.

Strong knowledge of sterilization and infection prevention standards.

Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
