Job Purpose :
The Lifts Manager is responsible for the Lift Maintenance and Lift Operations departments. As Lifts
Manager, you are responsible for supervising and leading activities in the lift maintenance department as well as ensuring safe uphill transportation for guests and co-workers by supervising the lift operators. You will operate safe lifts while meeting or exceeding all applicable governing agency codes and laws as well as manufacturer recommendations. You employ your organizational and leadership skills and play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our guest’s safety and satisfaction. You communicate regularly with other departments including snowsports, tickets & rental, ski patrol, human resources, marketing, and recreation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

- Ensures lift operators and lift mechanics are scheduled during high volume time frames and / or special events.
- Ensures that the lift maintenance department and lift operators (when applicable) are operating and maintaining equipment to all applicable laws, codes, and regulations
- Guide lift maintenance mechanics in the performance of their duties and responsibilities and assist with troubleshooting, repairs, and adjustments when necessary.
- Ensures that the lift maintenance department is preparing and storing the appropriate and applicable operations and maintenance documentation including but not limited to the daily, weekly, monthly, mid and annual inspections of lift equipment.
- Ensure completion work orders, daily operations logs and other maintenance related documentation

Upholds and promotes all company policies and procedures, and codes and laws of all oversight agencies and entities.Manages budget according to policy.Leads the lift maintenance and lift operations departments safely and efficiently to meet operational goals, mission, and vision.Oversight of hiring, staffing, procurement, budgets, inventory, training, and safety in lift maintenance and lift operations.Planning and scheduling of work and staffing for maintenance activities, special projects, events, and daily operations as needed by season.Report all hazards, injuries, or other concerns immediatelyOther Duties as Assigned :

Minimum Qualifications :
High School Diploma and 18 years of ageMinimum time in a related position : 2 years verifiable experience as an aerial lift mechanicMinimum time in a leadership role : 2 years of leading and managing staffTechnical - Basic mechanical theories; industrial safety proficiency; fundamental troubleshooting principles; basic electrical theoriesFamiliarity with lift service and maintenance documentation, safety bulletins, drawings and parts catalogs, and industry specific codes and requirements.Familiarity with general mechanical concepts and principles related to hydraulics, lubrications, power transmission, rotating machinery, and basic electricity.Working knowledge of industry related tasks such as rigging and lifting, general ropeway maintenance principles and procedures, and industrial safety.Physical Capabilities - Must be able to climb ladders and lift towers. Able to climb on, over, and around structural elements. Able to work with hand tools and power tools and perform necessary work functions while wearing a full body harness or other personal protective equipment. Must be able to walk on uneven, irregular, and slippery surfaces. Must be able to work in various cold and hot weather conditions.Operate various over the snow and wheeled vehicles in a safe manner.Familiarity with OSHA / MIOSHA safety standards and basic labor practicesGoogle Sheets, Docs, Drive & Gmail proficiencyClear and effective communicator using radio communications and in writing.Valid Driver’s LicenseMust be able to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed by season and by need of the company.Job Benefits :
