NEW Permanent Cytotechnologist Opening

Location : Albany, NY Area

Salary Range : $65k - $100k (based on experience and qualifications)

A well-established pathology department is seeking a skilled Cytotechnologist to join its Cytopathology unit. This is a great opportunity for professionals who thrive in a diagnostic lab setting and are passionate about making a difference in patient care.

IMPORTANT : You must hold a valid ASCP Cytotechnologist (CT) certification and a New York State license to be considered.

What You'll Do :

• Analyze cytology specimens to assist in the diagnosis and monitoring of disease
• Accurately report test results and maintain proper documentation and quality control
• Prepare and evaluate gynecologic and non-gynecologic samples
• Enter and verify patient demographics and specimen information
• Use laboratory information systems and contribute to lab maintenance and QA procedures
• Collaborate with supervisors and medical staff to meet diagnostic performance guidelines
• Assist in training new staff, residents, and students as needed
