Director Of Nursing Services
We are hiring a Director of Nursing Services to join our dynamic care team at Berkshire Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in Sandisfield! Berkshire Rehab is a 57-bed, all-male facility. Salaried role with weekly pay. We have a large Veteran population. We will reimburse for reciprocity. Working with our team and residents will give you purpose in your professional and personal life.
As a Director of Nursing Services, the purpose of your position is to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of our Nursing Services Department in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility.
Experience & Education : Specific Requirements : - Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. - Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions. - Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies / personnel and the general public. - Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long term care. - Must be knowledgeable in the privacy rules and ensure all staff comply with facility privacy practices policies and procedures. - Must possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel. - Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures, etc., that are necessary for providing quality care. - Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents. - Must be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing nursing practices. - Must be able to communicate effectively to appropriate personnel regarding emergency situations. - Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of nursing theory and practice.
