Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

Sentara Outpatient Rehab Therapy Center - Pond Way is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA). Sign On-Bonus : $5,000 - 1YR COMMITMENT (half 30 days; half at one year). Full Time Days M / W 7 : 30-4 : 30, T / Thurs 9-6 : 30, F-8-4.

Responsibilities :

• Administer physical therapy treatments and procedures under supervision of a physical therapist.
• May assist in the development of treatment plans, carry out routine functions, and document the progress of treatment within the scope of treatment plans established by a physical therapist.
• Provides age-appropriate education for clients and caregivers.
• Supervise and assume responsibility for care provided by identified team members.

Education :

Associate Level Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant (Required)

Certification :

Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI

Experience :

2 years
