Stew Leonard's, a family-owned and operated fresh food store founded in 1969, has locations in Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. Stew's earned its nickname, the "Disneyland of Dairy Stores" because of its country-fair atmosphere, with costumed characters and animated entertainment throughout the store that keep children entertained while parents shop.

Position Description : The Garden Shop Attendant will have a passion for plants and gardening, excellent customer service skills, and a strong work ethic. Position will take place from 11 / 15 to 12 / 24.

Your day-to-day :

• Greet customers and assist them with their inquiries and purchases
• Provide advice on plants, gardening tools and landscaping materials
• Maintain a clean and organized environment
• Unpack and stock merchandise on shelves and displays
• Willing to learn the seasonality of Garden Shop products, including Spring, Fall and Christmas products
• Ensure displays are full and merchandised, with appropriate signage
• Provide quality customer service, including interacting with customers, answering customer inquiries, and effectively handling customer complaints
• Other projects, as needed
